Are you passionate about protecting the rights of young people and working to achieve the best possible outcomes for them and their families?
Children’s Hearings Scotland has extended their volunteer recruitment campaign for Panel Members, to help support Orkney’s most vulnerable infants, children and young people.
The application deadline has been extended to 16 October. An online Information Session will take place on Friday 14 October between 12:30pm and 1:15pm where potential volunteers will be able to speak to panel members more about the role. To register, email CHSrecruit@chs.gov.scot
Panel Members are volunteers from local communities who take part in children's hearings. Their role is to listen and make legal decisions with and for infants, children and young people. They are there to ensure that the young person is at the heart of every decision made – because every decision, no matter how big or small, has an impact on the life of the child or young person in the hearing.
CHS offer a training and development programme and an experienced and supportive team.
You can apply to become a volunteer panel member at www.chscotland.gov.uk
