Help fill a gap at St Andrews School
Date: 2 May 2024
“Ten out of ten” is what P3’s Kian says about the lunches at St Andrews Primary School!
Kian can be a fussy peedie monkey at home, but loves the tasty food served up by cook supervisor, Marlene Budge and her team at St Andrews, and often asks his mum to “cook it like at school!” There can be no bigger compliment than that!
But Marlene needs an assistant to help her, and the team keep up the good work in the kitchen.
She said: “We take pride in our work and putting healthy and tasty dinners out for the bairns, catering for all dietary requirements. It’s lovely to hear the bairns when we lift the lids at lunchtime – ‘oooooo, that looks good.’ It’s a brilliant school and we are a really friendly peedie team. I’ve been here ten years and that speaks for itself.”
Can you fill in that gap at St Andrews Primary? The school day hours mean there’s no need to look for childcare, or the shorter days may suit a retired person. The wages have gone up in recent times too.
Apply here, but please be quick as the closing date is Sunday 5 May - https://myjobscotland.gov.uk/councils/orkney-islands-council/jobs/cook-st-andrews-primary-school-375740 or give our Catering Manager, Scott Pring, a shout to discuss on
