Business Gateway Orkney are to run two drop in sessions in Stromness this summer.
Business Gateway provides business advice and support, including a range of courses, to businesses in Orkney.
To find out what is on offer for new start and existing businesses, drop in and speak to a member of the BG team at the Stromness sessions which take place on Friday 2 June and Friday 7 July in the Marjory Corrigall Room of the Warehouse Buildings from 10.00 to 13.00.
Claire Kemp is the manager at Business Gateway Orkney. She said: “As a local service, we are keen to meet the needs of businesses from across Orkney. We have a significant amount of enquiries from folk in the Stromness area and so we’ve decided to trial a montlhy drop-in session in the town’s Warehouse Buildings to make it even easier for folk to access advice and support.”
Kerry Sinclair, from Stromness, recently opened a tearoom on Porteous Close in the town and received advice and support from Business Gateway before doing this. She said: “The support from Business Gateway was really helpful in setting up my new venture. I attended a number of their courses and it prepared me well for the challenge of starting up my own business. Things are going really well with the tearoom – it’s a dream come true.”
