People are at the heart of all that we do at Orkney Islands Council.
It’s a time of change within the organisation with investment in our staffing resource leading to a significant number of exciting opportunities within the local authority.
This includes posts within the Council’s Human Resources and Organisational Development service – a Service Manager (Organisational Development), Senior HR Adviser and a HR Support Team Leader are all currently open for applications.
The Council’s Head of Human Resources and Organisational Development, Andrew Groundwater, said: “It’s never been a more exciting time to come and work for Orkney Islands Council as the organisation sets out on a new journey - thanks to a major investment through Our People – Our Plan.
“More than 70 jobs are being created as part of a major staffing restructure providing employability opportunities and professional pathways that will attract, grow and retain new talent. The Council is striving to become the ‘employer of choice’ and deliver on its ambitions.
