Community Testing clinics update

Self testing clinics in Stromness (today) and Kirkwall (tomorrow)

The COVID-19 assisted testing clinic is again open today (Thursday 16 December) in Stromness until 1pm, at the Warehouse Buildings (entry is from the Ferry Road side, not the library entrance).

The team will also be at the Kirkwall Fire Station tomorrow (Friday 17 December) between 10am and 1pm.

The drop in clinics are aimed at giving folk confidence to carry out regular self testing, by providing a step-by-step walk through of how to use Lateral Flow Device kits.

You can pick up LFD testing kits from both clinics and no appointments are necessary.

The Stromness clinic will be open again next week (23 December) and then restarting for the new year on 6 January.

Remember, the clinics are only for people who have no COVID-19 symptoms. Please don’t attend clinics if you feel unwell – if you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19 you and your household should immediately self-isolate and you should arrange a PCR test. You can find details of how to access a PCR test on the home page of the NHS Orkney website or by calling 0300 303 9545.
