Setting yourself new goals or challenges in the New Year?

Why not sign up for one of our community learning courses in 2025 – enrolment opens on 9 January – but be quick, spaces may be limited.

Courses on offer include Yoga, Meditation, Qiqong & Tai Chi for Beginners, Furniture Restoration & Upholstery, Finding & Identifying Plants in the Spring, and National 4 Numeracy.

Classes are face-to-face with some included with ActiveLife memberships, special rates for those who meet the concessionary criteria, and the Nat 4 Numeracy class is totally free.

The Council’s Team Leader Adult Learning & Community Development, Walter Gorman, said: “Research shows that learning new things and meeting new people can be a huge boost for your mental health – that’s something backed up time and again by our student’s comments, and it’s a brilliant way to start the new year in a positive frame of mind.”
