Orkney Islands Council has published its Biodiversity Duty Report for 2015 – 2017.
The Council is required by law to ‘further the conservation of biodiversity’ in the course of carrying out its responsibilities and, in turn, reports on this every three years.
The Council’s latest report covers the period 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2017 and looks at a variety of things including the key documents that guide the Council’s biodiversity work, the role that various services play in meeting these responsibilities and the key projects that have taken place over the three years of the reporting period.
A copy of the report is available on the Council website and paper copies are also available from the One Stop Shop in Kirkwall.
