Aurrida House Comfort Fund appeal

Staff at Aurrida House are taking part in a fancy dress sponsored walk/run at the Picky running track on 10 June from 2-4pm.

They are aiming to raise £500 for the Aurrida House Comfort Fund, which is used to purchase sensory toys and specialist equipment for those children and young people with additional support needs who attend at the respite care facility in Kirkwall.

In addition the fund is used to purchase birthday and Christmas presents, and items for other celebrations throughout the year and helps ensure the young people can take part in a range of community-based activities which promote inclusion and opportunities.

Staff are appealing for support and say folk are welcome to head to the track to cheer them on.
