The way the Local Biodiversity Record Centre is run is under review from this week (26 July)
Due to a vacant post, the Council and partner organisations involved in natural heritage management and protection are looking at how the Centre can be taken forward in conjunction with changes to national biodiversity recording.

Orkney flag raised in the heart of London in celebration of Historic County Flags Day
The Orkney flag is flying high in the heart of London’s Parliament Square this week.
The flags of 52 historic counties have been raised in a resplendent celebration of the nation’s heritage to mark the Historic County Flags Day today, Friday 23 July – and they will remain aloft until 27 July.
