Folk in Orkney are being asked to help shape a Council strategy that will support tackling greenhouse gas emissions from all buildings in the county.

The Council’s Transportation Service is seeking further feedback from South Ronaldsay residents to ‘fine tune’ the pilot on-demand door-to-door community transport service in the area. 

The Council’s Marine Planners are delighted with the significant wave of interest shown in the draft Orkney Regional Marine Plan and Finfish Farming Spatial Guidance consultations. 

The date for the Orkney Matters 2 Kirkwall event has been announced.  

Landowners and communities who wish to submit their ideas or have their sites considered for development as part of the review of Orkney’s Local Development Plan have until the end of the month to submit their details.

Tenants, applicants for council housing and other housing stakeholders are being asked to help feedback on the Council’s current approach to tenant participation and engagement. 

Folk in Orkney are being asked to share their views on how the Council buys goods, services and works from third parties – ensuring that its spending power is used sustainably and achieves value for money.  

Views are being sought on the play areas and hang out spaces available in Orkney for children and young people.

The Orkney Community Alcohol Partnership (CAP) is encouraging folk in the county to complete a short survey focused on alcohol and underage drinking.
