What inspired you to take up your sport?
I have been involved in sport since a young age. Due to injuries in other sports I started weight training to combat the issues. I then found I had some natural ability in the sport. I was immediately hooked after my first session at Orkney Amateur Weightlifting Club.
Best Achievement this ATAS year?
I kept my title as Scottish u81kg junior and under 23 champion. I was also taken to the Commonwealth Games with the Achieve programme as part of team Scotland as a potential for the next games in 2026. I was also selected for Team Scotland Celtic Games Squad which is made up of 9 males over all age groups.
What does ATAS mean to you?
ATAS allows me to attend more competitions and training session with Team Scotland. This enables me to have access to high level coaches where I benefit greatly.
