Farm diversification scheme open for applications

Local farmers who are keen to explore non-agricultural business opportunities on their farm or land are being encouraged to consider an application to the Council’s Farm/Croft Diversification scheme.

This scheme, funded through Crown Estate Scotland revenues, is due to close for the next round of draft applications on 15th January 2024.

Active farmers may apply for farm diversification funds to assist with the viability of their farm business for funding up to 30% of eligible costs for a minimum grant award of £1,000 up to a maximum grant award of £40,000.
