Local people are being urged to sign up for a mygovscot account for a quicker and easier way to report issues and request services from Orkney Islands Council. 

Three archaeological digs in Orkney supported by the Council – Swandro in Rousay, Blomuir tomb in Holm, and The Cairns in South Ronaldsay – have captured slots in popular UK-wide programmes this winter.

The spotlight is once again being aimed at some of the outstanding work carried out by the Council for the local community, as the first finalists for this year’s VIP Awards are announced.
