Ex-Council vehicles and plant for sale

A number of ex-Council vehicles and plant are offered for sale this month.

Vehicles include a Mercedes Econic RCV SV59 ZPK, Iveco Eurotrakker Gritter SV05FGE, Iveco Trakker Gritter – ST12 OTK, Bomag Roller – GN06 FBO, Iveco EuroTrakker SY53 EWY, Mercedes Axor Gritter AY06EJE and a Mercedes Axor Gritter WR11 NXU.

Other items range from snow blades to snow ploughs, loadall grabs, a screener, KanKrusha can baler and shredders.

Individual bids are invited for the scrap value of each item against the lot number – please note that job lots/group bids will not be accepted.

All items of vehicles and plant must be treated by bidders as non-running.

Viewing is by arrangement only, between 9am-12noon and 1pm-3pm Monday to Friday. To make arrangements please call 01856 872311 for Lots 1 – 11 and 01856 871547 for Lots 12 – 16.

To make a bid for an item please include the lot number, the amount being bid and your contact details. Send in a sealed envelope to Sale of ex-Council Vehicles and Plant, Operational Support Manager, Neighbourhood Services & Infrastructure, Council Offices, School Place, Kirkwall, Orkney, KW15 1NY.

The closing date for bids is midnight Sunday 23 April and no late bids will be accepted.

Successful bidders should collect the items within two weeks of notification from the Council’s Depot at Sparrowhawk Road, Hatston Industrial Estate or Bossack or Chinglebraes. Storage charges for vehicles still on site beyond this date will be applied if not uplifted.
