Orkney empty homeowners urged to complete survey

Wooden House

The Scottish Government is carrying out a study into empty homes and, as part of this, want to hear the views of empty homeowners in Scotland, including Orkney.

Do you own a home that has been empty for six months or more – or have you in the last five years?

If the answer is yes, then they want to hear from you to understand the experiences of empty homeowners, and what may help bring an empty home back into use.

Please complete the survey here by 31 March >.

Your views will help the Scottish Government understand the scale of the problem and what needs to be improved. This will be used by the Scottish Government to consider how it can best meet the commitments on empty homes set out within its ‘Housing to 2040’ Strategy.

If you have any further queries, please contact Jason Brown at IBP Strategy & Research on 01698 532021 or j.brown@ibp.eu.com, and thank you for your input to this important research.
