Eynhallow update

Date: 21 December 2022

Time: 14:00

Ferry Services

Local repair work on the MV Eynhallow’s seized engine is continuing.

The spare parts that are required for the repair arrived today (21 December).

It is expected that work will continue into next week, with the earliest return to service the 30 December. However, this will be updated as required.

In the meantime, Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre and Shapinsay will continue to be served by the MV Shapinsay, the Nordic Sea and charter vessels.

Orkney Ferries staff are continuing to make arrangements for the travelling public.

Passengers can now book travel up to the 29 December either over the phone or online.

The amended Rousay and Shapinsay timetables are available to view on the Orkney Ferries website or Facebook pages.

Thanks again to everyone for bearing with the teams while the current situation is managed.
