Be Safe Be Seen on return to school

With school pupils returning to school after the October holidays, we're reminding all road users to take extra care.

At this time if year it is vital that drivers keep a close eye out for children and young people travelling to and from school.

It’s equally important that pupils – whether walking or cycling to school or waiting for the school bus – are encouraged to do everything possible to make themselves seen.

This can be achieved by wearing high-visibility vests and carrying something bright or hi-viz, such as reflective strips on coats, bags, shoes, or LED flashing lights.
