Heading to the tip soon? Winter opening hours start 1 October

Orkney Islands Council is reminding the public that winter opening hours will be in operation from 1 October for all its waste and recycling facilities.

The winter hours are as follows and will go live on the Council website from 1 October, and are available below. They are also being publicised over the next few weeks on the Council’s 'OIC Updates' facebook page and the waste team’s ‘Orkney Waste and Recycling’ facebook page.

Hatston and Garson:
Mondays – closed.
Tuesday to Friday - 8am to 3:454pm
Saturday and Sunday - 8:30am to 3:45pm

St Margarets Hope:
Monday to Friday – 8am to 3:45pm
Saturday and Sunday – 8:30am to 3:45pm

Bossack:
Tuesday to Friday – 8am to 3:45pm
Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays.

Cursiter (no change from summer hours):
Monday to Thursday 8am to 3:45pm
Fridays - 8am to 3:15 pm
Closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
