“T-rexiffic” visit to the County Show!

The NSPCC’s Pantosaurus would like to say a roarsome “thank you” to everyone who stopped by the stall on County Show Day.

The friendly dinosaur says all the new pants designs created by children, who entered the competition to win Grooves vouchers and copies of The Power of Pants books, were simply “T-rexiffic”!

There were almost 200 entries and eventually the “dino-mite” colourful artwork by seven-year-old Dorrie Fry was chosen as overall winner of the £50 Grooves voucher and a copy of the book.

Runner up prizes of £25 Grooves vouchers and a book each went to Emily Grieve, aged 8, and Imogen Bruce, aged 6.

The NSPCC’s Mubashar Khaliq said: “What a superb effort by all involved and Pantosaurus was delighted to meet so many children, young people and adults who wanted to say hello, high five or have a photo taken with him.

“Congratulations to the winners but thank you to everyone who took the time to take part – it was a difficult decision for the judges.

“Events like these are so important to raise awareness of the work of the NSPCC and, in particular, the Talk PANTS campaign which encourages a simple conversation to help keep children safe from sexual abuse.”

A dinotastic 400 parent guides were also handed out.
