Revised car park closures - Kirkwall

Orkney Islands Council is advising changes dates previously publicised in relation to car park closures in Kirkwall.

The Roads teams will be carrying out surface dressing in a number of car parks over the ten day period as follows. For safety, the car parks will be closed to all vehicles while works are underway (and to pedestrians where necessary).

The works are highly weather dependent and dates might therefore change at short notice. Updates will be provided on the Council’s ‘OIC Updates’ facebook page and in the News section of the Council website.

Revised car parks affected and scheduled work dates are:

• Muddisdale Car Park (at Glaitness Primary School) - Saturday 18 June
• Waterfront West Car Park (opposite Ayre Hotel) - Wednesday 22 & Thursday 23 June
• Waterfront East Car Park (St Catherine’s Roundabout) - Thursday 23 & Friday 24 June
• Council Offices Car Park - Saturday 18 June 2022 and Saturday 25 June
• East Kirk Car Park (Guide Hall car park) - Saturday 18 June and Saturday 25 June
