Calling all hosts and those likely to become connected with refugees from Ukraine!

Date: 30 May 2022

We stand with Ukraine

The Scottish Refugee Council and Scottish Government are running two information sessions for hosts and potential hosts on the 31 May and 9 June.

The sessions will provide information and guidance for hosts on the Scottish Government’s Ukraine Super Sponsor and Homes for Ukraine Schemes.

Keith Bendall has recently been appointed as the new project officer to lead the resettlement programme in Orkney. He said: “The Scottish Refugee Council and the Scottish Government are running these online information sessions for anyone who is interested in hosting or are already hosts under the Scottish Government’s Ukraine Super Sponsor scheme or are private hosts under the Homes for Ukraine scheme in Scotland.

“During the sessions, key aspects of hosting such as eligibility criteria to become a host, the role and expectations of hosts will be covered; information will be shared about resources and further support available for hosts and there is an opportunity for hosts to ask specific questions.”
