Local GP appointed as new Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Orkney

The Lord-Lieutenant of Orkney, Elaine Grieve, has - following Her Majesty the Queen’s approval - appointed Deputy Lieutenant Sarah Scarth, to the role of Vice Lord-Lieutenant.
In her role, Sarah will stand in for the Lord Lieutenant if she is absent, sick or otherwise unable to attend.
Sarah, Vice Lord-Lieutenant commented: "I am delighted to be asked to take on the role of Vice Lord-Lieutenant and I look forward to providing support to the Lord-Lieutenant and the Deputy Lieutenants here in Orkney."
Sarah, 42, lives in Birsay, is married to David, and has three children. She is a graduate of Glasgow University, and, as Dr Stevenson, is a General Practitioner at Skerryvore Practice. A keen runner Sarah is Chair of Orkney Athletic and Running Club.
