Stromness flagstone work resumes

Stromness flagstone works will restart on Tuesday 11 January 2022.
Roads staff will be starting on Victoria Street at Argo’s Bakery, working towards Victoria Street/Church Road junction which will mean Victoria Street will be closed from The Pier Bistro to Church Road. The works here are expected to take around one week, weather dependant.
Thereafter, slab repair works will continue along from Church Road junction towards Graham Place, meaning that the road will be closed from Hellihole Road/Dundas Street junction, with no through access. Further updates will be provided.
The Council would like to apologise for the inconvenience these works may cause and thank the public for their ongoing patience.
