Flagstone repairs update - Stromness road closures

Work on John Streets covering the section from below the Surgery access to above E. Flett’s Butcher shop should be completed today (5 November) and will be curing over the weekend. The closure will remain in place over the weekend to allow that curing to take place.

From Monday (8 November), works will then be moving onto the next section of John Street from below E. Flett’s Butcher shop to The Royal British Legion - access to E. Flett’s Butcher shop and Stromness Surgery will be via John Street. It's expected this section of the works will take approximately one week to complete - this section of road will be closed also for the duration of the work.

Following on from this, the work will continue along Victoria Street, towards its junction with Ferry Road, at the fountain.

Pedestrian access is being maintained for all the above works.

    From Monday (8 November), flagstone repairs will move onto the section of John Street from below E. Flett’s Butcher shop to The Royal British Legion, with road closed to vehicles for the duration (one week).
