Diversion plan for Ayre Mills roundabout road works

Orkney Islands Council is reminding motorists that road works start on Monday (11 October) on the Ayre Mills Roundabout.

The resurfacing works on the roundabout is being carried out in two phases.

The first phase of the works will involve closing the access on to the roundabout from Pickaquoy Road and Hatston Brae with a signed diversion route via Crowness Crescent, Grainshore Road, Ayre Road and Junction Road (as pictured here).

The second phase will then close the Grainshore Road and Ayre Road accesses on to the roundabout with diversions vis Crowness Crescent, Hatston Brae, Pickaquoy Road and Junction Road.

The Council wishes to apologies for delays and inconvenience caused during the resurfacing of the roundabout, and once again thank the public for their understanding as we carry out this important work.
