Inga’s top tunes are chosen for Radio 2’s Non-Stop Oldies

Date: 25 August 2021

Inga's non-stop oldies badge

The Council’s very own Inga Bosworth has been chosen to share some of her top tunes to the nation on Steve Wright in the Afternoon on Radio 2.

Housing Officer Inga will let her music do the talking when some of her favourite songs are played over the airwaves on Friday 27 August at 3pm.

Inga chose the playlist for the popular Non-Stop Oldies and she has a coveted black and orange badge to prove it.

On Inga’s pick of the pops are tracks from Elvis Presley to Kula Shaker to Whitney Houston to Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan. But even she has no idea which ones will actually be played.

A surprised, but delighted, Inga explained: “I applied for the Non-Stop Oldies as I couldn’t sleep one night and thought I’d Google how you apply.  I never in a million years thought it’d be chosen! I’ve been a listener of Steve Wright since he did the Breakfast Show back in the 90’s.

“I put a total of 30 choices and they choose from them, but if I chose again they’d probably be a different 30!”

It’s Vernon Kay sitting in for Steve Wright this week…if you want to hear Inga’s choices, then tune into Radio 2 on Friday afternoon at 3pm.
